Department of Planning and Permitting

The Department of Planning and Permitting (DPP) is responsible for building safety, compliance, construction permits, land use & zoning, and planning and design.

DPP has established a Hillside Advisory Committee to address landslide mitigation.

Department of Transportation, Highways Division

The Highways Division will address guardrail and shoulder improvements on state highways. They will conduct studies to determine rockfall and slope protection mitigation measures at various locations on Oahu.
